Dance Progressions

It's Papa's Birthday!!

I have a class every Thursday from 8:00 pm to 9:00pm with my best friend Erin. We go and learn combinations and then in May we have a performance. It is not just Erin and me in the class there are a bunch of girls in the Basalt pom squad who are also in the class. I don't really like them, not because of anything they've done, just because when they're there, they make me feel retarded. I have never danced before, so I'm not that good and not that flexible. I can't do all the jumps and stuff that they can. I enjoy learning how to dance, but I wish it was just a private class or a one with just Erin and me.

I just got back from class, today, it was just Erin, Maggie and me. The rest of the girls were performing with the pom squad at a basketball game. It was fun, Heather still doesn't know what song we're doing for the performance, but we learned two combinations. I hope the dance and costumes are something I like. I will get really frustrated, if they're not. Anyway. Bye for now.

Happy Birthday Papa!!!

New Blog

I have a new blog that, I'm sharing with my friend Sydney. Right now there is nothing much, on it, but hopefully we will write on it regularly. I am kinda excited, because this blog could become many different thing and I want to see what it turns into. I am just syked. The name of the new blog is Power of Two. Also Sydney got an iPod Touch for her birthday, which made me want an iPhone, the only thing is its really expensive and the service is AT&T and I really like Verizon, so I don't really know what to do? I might just get a iPod Touch, I think they're less expensive anyway. I also want a Mac with engraving, I'm going to try to save up. Oh, and today I bought a tapestry to cover my new down comforter. Im' excited, it should ship on Friday. Okay, the randomness of this post is over. Bye now.

Every Day!!

I am going to try to post every day from my 16th birthday to my 17th birthday. I am doing this to see if I can and because my mom is doing it as well. I am kind of excited. I don't what I'm going to post about each day, but I will find something. Here are the Rules:
1. I have to post everyday.
2. It has to have some substance, I can't just post a word
3. Pictures and Videos by themselves are okay, but only one a week.
There you have it, I can however break the picture and video rule, if I choose. I think this will be fun and hard, but by the end I'll have a record of a year of my life.

Buffy the Vampire Slayer

Today is Sydney's birthday!!! Yay!

But that is not what this post is about. This post is about a TV show that I really like called Buffy The Vampire Slayer. The premise is that there is one girl in each generation that is the Vampire Slayer, basically the girl who fights all the evil stuff. In our generation, Buffy Summers is that girl. The thing that is different about Buffy is that she has friends, friends who know she is the Slayer and help her in her exploits. I really like this show because it starts with Buffy as a sophomore in high school and follows her life for 7 years.

Although there is a lot of mysticality going on in the show it is very really. Really people with real problems, some with real addictions. It is rather like Charmed in that aspect. I think the coming and going of character is consistent with the change of real life. The change and ebb and flow of relationships is also relatively real although these characters seem to relationship issues that most people don't have. Buffy keeps falling in love with vamps, Willow gets addicted to magic, so her girlfriend breaks up with her, and Xander falls for and ex-demon, who has a tendency to be extremely blunt. But although these problems are in different form they are th sam ekind of problem normal people have. Willow has a addiction, like a drug addiction, Buffy always falls for the bad boys and Xander, just has an odd girlfriend. these are normal things in extraordinary situations.

There is also the extreme funny. There are quotes and such from every episode that are hilarious. They are even better than Charmed in the way that they also appear funny to an outsider. This makes Dara feel less left out, which is good (although I have to say she could try harder). I love this and although I have not meorized every episode, I know that I will as long as my brain still has the capacity.

Happy Birthday, Sydney!!!!!

Sweet Sixteen!!!

I am officially 16! I can go to Belly Up without a parent. I had a pretty good birthday. I spent most of the day online and cleaning my room. Then tonight I went out to dinner at Blue Maize with my Parents and grandparents. I got some cash, a down comforter, my last birthday girl, $100 Amazon gift certificate, a new video camera.

I am not excited to go to school tomorrow. I think I should be allowed to stay home in recognition of my 16 birthday. I also think I have rehearsal and I don't want to go, because it's boring. The reason, its boring is because I Just walk across the stage reading a newspaper and then I sing with the chorus. Not that I'm not glad to be in the play I just wish I had more of a part.
Although my birthday doesn't seem all that exciting, I actually celebrated it last weekend.

I went to Jesus Christ Superstar in Denver with Sydney, Dara, and Erin. It was tons of fun. We left on Saturday and my mom drove us to Denver. Then when we got to the hotel we went and had dinner at Johnny Rocket’s at the Cherry Creek Mall, I had a burger and cheese fries. Then we went shopping. I bought a bunch of tops at Forever 21 and 2 DVDs at a FYE that was going out of business. Then we went back to the hotel and decided that we wanted to go swimming. But the only problem was Sydney didn’t have a swimsuit, so we went to the Target across the street and bought Sydney a swimsuit that she actually liked. We got her one that was blue and brown and looked very nice on her. We also got her a skirt because she was self conscious about her legs. Then we walked from our hotel across the highway to the pool and went swimming for an hour until the pool closed at 11:00. Then we walked back to our hotel and on the way we passed a store, called Fascinations. We were walking past when I actually read the sign outside the store. It said, Fascinations, The sensual Superstore. So, of course we went over to look in the door and we saw that it was a sex store and that we weren’t allowed in being under 18. We didn’t want to go in anyways and it was cold so we walked back to the hotel. Then we put in Footloose and played Never Never Have I Ever (without the alcohol). Then because the bathrooms were in the bedroom where my mom was asleep, Sydney, Erin, and Dara went downstairs to go to the bathroom and I fell asleep. About an hour later, my mom woke me up freaking out because the 3 of them we gone. She actually threatened to drive home at 2:00 am. But she went downstairs and found them in the computer room and dragged them back upstairs. Erin actually started crying because, she felt so bad, so I told her to go apologize, because I knew she wouldn’t be able to sleep until she did. So, all three of them went into my mom’s room to apologize. My mom said she was glad they had it made her feel better and told us to get in bed. We did and fell asleep quickly.

The next morning we woke up at around 8:45 am. We got dressed in our theater clothes and went over to the 16th Street mall. We went in the Tattered Cover and all got some books, then we all walked over to TJ Maxx. I got some more tops. I love TJ Maxx. Then it was time for the play. I really enjoyed it. I hadn't realized that there was no dialog in the musical, so that was a shock, but it was good. Ted Neely did a very good job for someone his age adn it was very cool to see him play Jesus, I do think however, that the role is suited to a younger person. But I guess that makes him and the fact that he could still do it all the more amazing. Then we went over to Maggiono's to have dinner. On the way there we stopped in a Hot Topic, to see if they had this Hogwarts bag that I had tried to order online, they didn't. Then we went over to Maggiono's and put our name in. Because there was a really long wait, the rest of them went over to Victoria's Secret next door and shopped. I chilled with my mom. Then we had a really good dinner and took the bus back to the car and drove back to the hotel. After we got back we went into the lobby and check our email and such. We got upstairs around ten and Sydney and I watched League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, while Dara and Erin watched the Covenant. Then we went to sleep and my mom drove home the next morning.

So all in all my birthday wasn't boring at all.

X Games

The X Games are in town. Yay!! NOT! Although the games are good for our economy, afterwards our town is always a mess. Also it becomes way less safe to be out at night. This is besides the fact that for the last couple of years, my birthday has been in the middle of the games. I just find them annoying and although I understand that what these people are doing is their profession and all that, I still think it is incredibly stupid. Alot of the stuff they do is deadly and I don't care if they practice and all that, its still deadly as proved often, by people who die doing it. I don't understand why you would choose to do something this risky as a job. Wait, I take that back, it made me sound incredibly ignorant. I love being and the X Games make me feel like I can't. I also hate the cold, so I don't actually mind watching the XGames, I just hate watching the X Games, while actually at the X Games. Also you can see the events so much better on the TV. I actually had an X Games athlete named Kevin Connelly, staying at my house, but his event was more like a race, so it didn't seem as crazy to me. He got the silver medal last year, but this year he broke his bucket so he went home early. he is legless, so he is a mono-skier and he needs his bucket to ski. Anyway rant over.
