Sweet Sixteen!!!

I am officially 16! I can go to Belly Up without a parent. I had a pretty good birthday. I spent most of the day online and cleaning my room. Then tonight I went out to dinner at Blue Maize with my Parents and grandparents. I got some cash, a down comforter, my last birthday girl, $100 Amazon gift certificate, a new video camera.

I am not excited to go to school tomorrow. I think I should be allowed to stay home in recognition of my 16 birthday. I also think I have rehearsal and I don't want to go, because it's boring. The reason, its boring is because I Just walk across the stage reading a newspaper and then I sing with the chorus. Not that I'm not glad to be in the play I just wish I had more of a part.
Although my birthday doesn't seem all that exciting, I actually celebrated it last weekend.

I went to Jesus Christ Superstar in Denver with Sydney, Dara, and Erin. It was tons of fun. We left on Saturday and my mom drove us to Denver. Then when we got to the hotel we went and had dinner at Johnny Rocket’s at the Cherry Creek Mall, I had a burger and cheese fries. Then we went shopping. I bought a bunch of tops at Forever 21 and 2 DVDs at a FYE that was going out of business. Then we went back to the hotel and decided that we wanted to go swimming. But the only problem was Sydney didn’t have a swimsuit, so we went to the Target across the street and bought Sydney a swimsuit that she actually liked. We got her one that was blue and brown and looked very nice on her. We also got her a skirt because she was self conscious about her legs. Then we walked from our hotel across the highway to the pool and went swimming for an hour until the pool closed at 11:00. Then we walked back to our hotel and on the way we passed a store, called Fascinations. We were walking past when I actually read the sign outside the store. It said, Fascinations, The sensual Superstore. So, of course we went over to look in the door and we saw that it was a sex store and that we weren’t allowed in being under 18. We didn’t want to go in anyways and it was cold so we walked back to the hotel. Then we put in Footloose and played Never Never Have I Ever (without the alcohol). Then because the bathrooms were in the bedroom where my mom was asleep, Sydney, Erin, and Dara went downstairs to go to the bathroom and I fell asleep. About an hour later, my mom woke me up freaking out because the 3 of them we gone. She actually threatened to drive home at 2:00 am. But she went downstairs and found them in the computer room and dragged them back upstairs. Erin actually started crying because, she felt so bad, so I told her to go apologize, because I knew she wouldn’t be able to sleep until she did. So, all three of them went into my mom’s room to apologize. My mom said she was glad they had it made her feel better and told us to get in bed. We did and fell asleep quickly.

The next morning we woke up at around 8:45 am. We got dressed in our theater clothes and went over to the 16th Street mall. We went in the Tattered Cover and all got some books, then we all walked over to TJ Maxx. I got some more tops. I love TJ Maxx. Then it was time for the play. I really enjoyed it. I hadn't realized that there was no dialog in the musical, so that was a shock, but it was good. Ted Neely did a very good job for someone his age adn it was very cool to see him play Jesus, I do think however, that the role is suited to a younger person. But I guess that makes him and the fact that he could still do it all the more amazing. Then we went over to Maggiono's to have dinner. On the way there we stopped in a Hot Topic, to see if they had this Hogwarts bag that I had tried to order online, they didn't. Then we went over to Maggiono's and put our name in. Because there was a really long wait, the rest of them went over to Victoria's Secret next door and shopped. I chilled with my mom. Then we had a really good dinner and took the bus back to the car and drove back to the hotel. After we got back we went into the lobby and check our email and such. We got upstairs around ten and Sydney and I watched League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, while Dara and Erin watched the Covenant. Then we went to sleep and my mom drove home the next morning.

So all in all my birthday wasn't boring at all.
