Tomorrow I leave on something that my school calls Ex-Ed or Experiential Education. I am very excited.
I am going to
Ashland, Oregon for the Shakespeare Festival, which goes almost year round.
I am going with Erin, who is my best friend, so that is a big plus.
I have spent all day doing what I should have done days ago, packing.
I made a list that felt like it was way smaller than normal and packed everything up.
I have a lot of space in both my carry-on and my suitcase.
I have no idea why this is, the only thing I can figure is that I have gotten much better at packing.
Anyway, we even went up to the Gap and bought me a new pair of very dark wash jeans.
They fit perfectly.
I am very excited about my new jeans and having jeans that actually fit for the first time in a long while.
Also I found out just a little while ago that I didn’t have any bottles for my toiletries, so I had to ask my mom if ZI could borrow some of hers.
She was very frustrated that I hadn’t thought of this earlier, but said I could borrow hers, so we averted a crisis.
Moving on…. There are many different places you can go on Ex Ed, including,
Memphis,
Mississippi,
New York City,
Mexico,
San Francisco, the Tetons,
Arizona,
Puerto Rico and many more.
I am leaving my house tomorrow at 7:30 am to go to my friend’s house, so that her mom can drive us the 4 hours to
Denver.
I am excited for the car, but not at the same time for two reasons.
One, It is not just going to be me and my friend, there is going to be this other girl named KayCee there who is kind of annoying.
Two, I will probably have to choose between sitting in the front all by myself or sitting in the back and having squished legs for 4 hours.
I hope that
Erin and get in a room together.
The reason I hope for this is not because I am afraid of rooming with people I don’t know.
I am finer with this I have done it twice before and it was fine.
Its just now that I know someone and it my best friend I think it would be much more fun if I room with her, especially since we both have some kinda strange bedtime rituals, plus Erin can’t fall asleep if there is any light at all.
I think this is going to be a very interesting experience, because I don’t like it at all when people are annoying and so I can get kinda in your face and this is
Erin’s first time really traveling without her mom.
I anticipate a lot of fun and strangeness and I will tell you of all the happenings when I get back next Saturday.
